Welcome to the website of the Institute of Economic Policy at the Leibniz University Hannover.

Research, teaching and transfer at the Institute of Economic Policy focus on the quantitative analysis of current issues of economic policy. The basis for this is the combination of theoretical approaches with modern econometric methods using the best possible data. In addition to fundamental insights (basic research), practical implications of these insights for the private sector, politics and the public are of particular importance (applied research).

Prof. Dr. Stefan Homburg geht nach 24 Jahren an der Leibniz Universität Hannover in den Ruhestand

Die Wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Fakultät verabschiedet am 31. März 2021 Prof. Dr. Stefan Homburg in den Ruhestand.

Prof. Homburg ist seit 01.04.1997 Direktor des Instituts für Öffentliche Finanzen der Leibniz Universität Hannover. Von 1999 bis 2007 bekleidete Prof. Homburg das Amt des Dekans der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät und war darüber hinaus von 2003 bis 2005 Mitglied des Senats der Leibniz Universität Hannover.

Wir wünschen Prof. Homburg für den neuen, nun vor ihm liegenden Lebensabschnitt Gesundheit und alles Gute.
